New construction of the Valley Region Elementary School No.12 project consists of four buildings (49,400-SF of building space) and includes 26 classrooms, multi-media library, auditorium, restaurant kitchen, faculty dining, food services area with lunch shelter, support and administrative facilities, and a single level subterranean parking garage. The playground includes basketball courts, volleyball courts, a track and field area, tetherball courts, horizontal bars, and a composite play structure.

The contract for construction of Valley Region Elementary School No. 12 also included the renovation & remodel of the adjacent Sepulveda Middle School playground. The playground contains basketball courts, volleyball courts, baseball backstops, a soccer field, handball courts, climbing poles, a running track and horizontal bars.
